What do Master Gardeners Do In The Fall and Winter?
When Master Gardeners arent' busy teaching about gardening or working in their own gardens, they're busy thinking about gardening and, like their beloved plants, storing up energy for the growing season ahead. Where will you find them?
- Helping select and train new Master Gardners
- Answer the Hotline (Yes! You can ask gardening questions all year round!)
- Training - either "brushing up" or taking advanced specialty courses
- Updating presentation materials
- Planning the annual reconition banquet and celebration
- Reading gardening catalogs and dreaming about next year!
Presentations
Master Gardeners offer a variety of presentations to groups of all ages throughout the year. Click on the links below for additional information about topics offered.
Youth Presentations:
Request a Master Gardener
You can request a Master Gardener to present at your school, business, place of employment or event! Program activities are scheduled through the Hennepin County Extension Office.
Normal scheduling requires at least two weeks advance notice. The Hennepin County Master Gardener Program usually receives a $50 honorarium for formal presentations.
